Caught the train anyways… The lady at the bus station thought I was hopeless.
There was a bus with the same number sitting idle in a dock at the station. I made it just in time for the early bus, only to see the other bus with the same number roll out.
This InterCity (IC) Diesel Multiple Unit (DMU) looks to be in fairly good condition, unlike the night train that we are forcing onto a siding as I write this. The tracks crawl out of Split, winding their way into the mountains on a tight singletrack through tunnels opening to views of mines cutting into the hillside in front of the islands dotting the coast.
