I didn’t realize that Seamus Joyce-Johnson was a local! Went to the international school he went to as a kid for a year, and got pannenkoeken at his favorite spot.

One reason I decided to come to the Netherlands this weekend was because the Rewire festival. However, I just read a few words about it and saw one spot where it said you could see stuff for free. Little did I know that we would end up in a room inside then old us embassy getting assualted by noisy leaf blowers alongside many pieces of tin hanging from various structures, or whispered to through speakers hidden in ceramics with teeth on them, suspended from the ceiling. It was an odd spectacle. The other people enthralled by it might have been the most interesting part. Good to try new things! Not sure I’d do it again. That art might be a bit too modern for me.

The following day (when I’m writing this) we met up to watch the marathon. They advertise it as a very flat marathon… Little do they know how much hills can help (Boston 😎). Hope everyone in Boston goes and rides the midnight marathon ride and then has a nice 3am meal before going back to cheer on some friends the next day!
